Things to do in Agnes Water

People come and stay at Cool Bananas to not only enjoy a chilled/family atmosphere but to enjoy the many activities on offer in Agnes Water & Town of 1770. At the top of the list for many of our guests is the daily surf school with Gnarly Tours and talented instructor Lorenzo. You only need to see the GoPro photos on Facebook to see how much fun is to be had!

There are many paid tours including kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, Great Barrier Reef Tours to the beautiful Lady Musgrave Island and land based fishing. At other times of the year, particularly in May, June, September and October, you will find many keen fishermen who love to share their special spots to go land-based fishing off the very northern point of 1770.

There are also many hikes and two beautiful national parks to visit – Deep Water National Park and Eurimbula National Park. You will need a four-wheel-drive to access these but there are tours you can take or if you are like many other travellers, you may make friends with someone who is driving the east coast with a vehicle suitable. If you get up early enough or head out on sunset there are numerous places to see wild kangaroos.

Finally – we are one of only a handful of places on the whole East Coast of Australia where you can see the sun set over the water!!!! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
