I really enjoyed my stay at the cool bananas hostel. It is a clean hostel with a great laid back atmosphere. Every day/ evening there was a small activity planed by the staff, like for example playing werewolf or just dance, which was really nice to get to know the other guest. On Saturday we dressed up and went to the Taverne, which was really fun too

A very social hostel with an amazing atmosphere

Best independent hostel I’ve been to so far. The community here is amazing, no matter where you’re from you will be able to make new friends here. Everyone is so lovely and you get greeted by dancing bananas on arrival!! They have a hostel dog and the rooms tick all the necessary boxes along with a suitable kitchen and communal area. The owner gets involved with activities which adds onto the entire experience and the staff are all lovely. Definitely would come back here and an incredible place to explore if exploring the less stereotypical route of the east coast of Australia.

I really liked the vibe of the hostel, its very social and there is always something going on. Its also only a two minute walk to a very pretty beach

Stayed here for 4weeks and it was such a nice and chill vibe. Main beach is just a short walk away but there are other pretty beaches near the hostel. Would come here again, thanks Scott!
