Mixed Dorm Room
Room Type: Standard 8 Bed Dorm
Room Description: The dorm features bunk beds with mattresses and provided linen, plus individual lockers (bring your own padlock). It also includes a ceiling fan, power outlets, and a light. Shared bathroom and laundry facilities are available.
Key Amenities: Enjoy free daily Wi-Fi, lockers (padlock required), a ceiling fan, separate shower, and non-smoking environment. The dorm also features a balcony, room safe, washer and dryer, and access to a terrace.
Female Dorm Room
Room Type: Standard 8 Bed Dorm (Female Only)
Room Description: This female-only dorm features bunk beds with mattresses and provided linen, along with individual lockers (padlock required). The room includes a ceiling fan, power outlets, and a light. Shared bathroom and laundry facilities are available.

The G Shack
Room Type: Glamping Shack
Room Description: This glamping tent features a comfortable double bed with provided linen, a private balcony, and a room safe for your valuables. The tent is non-smoking and equipped with ceiling fans and power outlets to ensure a pleasant stay. Shared bathroom and laundry facilities are available for guests.
Key Amenities: The G Shack is non-smoking and includes provided linen, a balcony, and a room safe. Additional amenities feature ceiling fans, a separate shower, washer and dryer, and access to a terrace.

What types of rooms do you offer?
We offer dormitory-style rooms and private rooms. Dorms are available in different sizes to accommodate various group sizes, and private rooms are perfect for those looking for a bit more privacy.

We provide all necessary bedding, including fresh sheets and blankets. Towels are available for hire at reception.
Are the bathrooms shared or private?
Dormitory rooms share bathrooms, which are kept clean and well-maintained.
Is there Wi-Fi available?
Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi throughout the hostel, including in all rooms and common areas.
Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes, we have self-service laundry facilities available for guests. There is a small fee for using the washing machine and dryer.
Is there a communal kitchen?

Lockers are available in all dormitory rooms. We also have luggage storage available at reception for before check-in or after check-out.

Is there a curfew or lockout?
No, guests have 24/7 access to the hostel using their key cards. However, we do ask guests to respect quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM in the dorm areas.
Can I extend my stay after booking?
Yes, if we have availability, you’re welcome to extend your stay. We recommend letting us know as soon as possible, especially during peak seasons.

Independently run to perfection! Pristine cleanliness, friendly staff and good beachside vibes.Other hostel managers need to come stay here for a lesson in how run a hostel and how to use a mop! So nice to sleep and eat not breathing in dirt or mould like 80% of backpackers are filled with.All the others in town looked terrible or like unerground dungeons so definitely Cool Bananas is the place to stop in at Agnes! I extended my booking as it was a nice place to chill out and good social atmosphere by the fire!Great gateway to the Southern Reef of Lady Musgrave for snorkeling. Amazing hostel. You get picked up by dancing bananas and the vibes are chill. The common areas are always open if I’m not mistaken. Also the kitchen doesn’t close except for two times of cleaning a day. Highly recommend!
Best independent hostel I’ve been to so far. The community here is amazing, no matter where you’re from you will be able to make new friends here. Everyone is so lovely and you get greeted by dancing bananas on arrival!! They have a hostel dog and the rooms tick all the necessary boxes along with a suitable kitchen and communal area. The owner gets involved with activities which adds onto the entire experience and the staff are all lovely. Definitely would come back here and an incredible place to explore if exploring the less stereotypical route of the east coast of Australia.
I highly recommend this hostel. There’s a great atmosphere, everyone is very relaxed. You can also do some cool activities. We took a surfing course and even flew a small plane ourselves. The owner, Lorenzo, is the flight instructor and a really great guy. He captures the flying experience with lots of photos and videos. It was an unforgettable experience.
Bestes Hostel in komplett Australien. Das Personal (meist selbst Junge Backpacker) heißten mich herzlich willkommen und haben mir bei allen Fragen und Problemen geholfen. Die Räume (Küche, Bad,…) werden zweimal am Tag geputzt. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Es gibt jeden Abend ein Programm in den alle die Lust haben integriert werden. Ich würde aufjedenfall wieder kommen!
This is by far my favorite hostel on the East coast. I past through Agnes Water just to relax a little on my east coast trip, but I liked it so much that I came back 2 months later. The Hostel has a very nice Location and a cool vibe. All the staff members are really friendly, therefore the atmosphere is really welcoming. Also,Scott the Owner, tries to make the hostel a Safe Space for everyone and wants everybody to have a good time. There are free activities basically everyday so the life in Agnes never gets boring. The hostel is super clean which also makes the stay even more enjoyable ( kitchen gets cleaned 3 times a day). I also highly recommend the surfschool that is connected to the hostel. The surf lessons are great and definitely cheaper than other Surf lessons along the coast. If you are in Agnes water and you want to have a good time, you should definitely Check out this hostel!!!
